Words their Way (word study)

I have these posters up in the classroom to help the students remember what they are doing each day:

Each Monday:

We are simply making sure your child knows their sound and can read each word and knows what each word means.

                                          

On a Tuesday:

           

We are making sure they know the sound and can read the words. Now they choose 3 or 4 words per heading and write them underneath the heading.

We worked with a partner and used alphabet tiles to spell words. 

We had fun building puzzles!

We used our creativity and built all kinds of interesting structures with the plane shapes.

We are learning how to make sentences using word cards. 

Sometimes we play rhyming games with Mrs. Baker. 

Here we are getting to know a classmate. We asked them questions and wrote down what they said.

Sometimes we practice our writing on the whiteboards.
